![]() Badman’s awakening sparked interest to see if his daughter could have the same potential. When Birkin became more of an assassin with a great track record, someone started to experiment. Charlotte originally was just a normal girl who shared some of daddy’s habits like drinking. If Badman never came to beat some sense into Travis, who knows how much longer it would have been for the guy to get out again.īadman doesn’t even end there with great moments since we still need to look at his view on Bad Girl, Charlotte, his daughter. The past haunts us in many ways, but it can also be that surprising part that motivates us. Then Travis has been known to be a big character for Suda 51 as the man put a lot of himself into the character. Many can say he is like us who want to see Suda back in the chair as he attacks Travis a man who locked himself away from the world and not doing anything grand anymore. Still the big point is that the starting point of bringing back Travis Touchdown was Birkin, not only an obscure character in Killer7, but now a connecting point to No More Heroes. Funny to know NMH happened only because Capcom said no to a sequel for Killer7. Games like Killer7 and No More Heroes reached cult status in due time. At first many thought Badman was just a ghost of Travis Touchdown’s past, but he is also resembling the past of Suda hitting his peak. It was his debut to the whole world and is still quite known to be one of the most unique video games created. For many Killer7 was the biggest game for the man’s career. Seeing how Killer7 finally pops up in such a big fashion really says a lot about what TSA was to Suda 51. Previously we already saw that stuff like Silver Case, FSR, 25th Ward, Shadows of the Damned, and Killer is Dead come back in some forms. Obviously, this is a sign of Suda 51 really looking back at his previous works. ![]() Dan tosses him a Death Ball and sends him out to kill Travis Touchdown. Dan and Mills actually agree with him and quickly found out who did it and where he is, Texas. Badman begs for his life since he wanted to live to find the man who murdered his daughter. With that part of his plan falling it has Dan finding him to get rid of a rat. Badman soon finds himself in thick with Curtis Blackburn and gets help from Dan Smith and Christopher Mills who he soon rats out to save his own skin. Badman also experienced a sort of awakening after the incident and became an instant success in killing with his bat where all he needed was one good swing on someone. New characters were also introduced as they were Birkin’s bosses pretty much as he worked for an organization and of course he was an assassin.īadman’s time in this profession had him go through a bloodbath and at one point he had to hide his face due to injuries. The short story also contains many previous Killer7 characters like Dan, Curtis, Pedro, and Mills. While it has never been fully translated and never finished it is easy to assume that Badman’s visual novel segment in this game is a sequel to that story. The short story “Killer is Dead” was written sometime after the release of the game and it takes years before the actual events. To start off Badman’s full name is Shigeki Birkin which to some might mean nothing, but the actually incredibly important considering a cutscene that would be added later. The bosses are usually these one-off personalities and yet here is such a game changer and they went all in with Badman. Bad Girl was a fan favorite boss and having a bit more knowledge of her and a father was interesting. Still the fact of Badman being connected to the original No More Heroes game meant a lot to the fans. Then we also have Jasper Batt Jr… and we already forget everything about him. In the Silver Case there was a guy calling himself The Bat who sent the main character emails. Originally the character was called The Bat (or even Batman) in some interviews which that is a callback actually. Quite funny looking back and just knowing he was Bad Girl’s father early on. There will be spoilers for Badman’s character in this post since we are going in deep for this character. Hey Badman, your time to shine is finally here. Still there are some loose ends to cover with the game and it all has to do with the characters in this particular universe. There are tons of possible metaphors put into this game that shows the history of both. Travis Strikes Again was easily a goldmine for any fan that looked through the history of the company, Grasshopper Manufacture, but also the history of Suda 51. ![]() Its more because of well some giants got my attention this year, haha. Not saying that I was just putting this on hold.
